Today Show Cafe's special blend roasted coffee

Brand new and super exciting! As of May 16, 2019 Universal Orlando will be rolling out the Today Show Cafe.
This place is shaking up the theme park food scene offering healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced quick
eats in the parks. This is no one month special this place will be open and serving during regular park hours.
I can hardly describe how cool it was to be welcomed into the restaurant by none other than Today Show
host Al Roker broadcasting live to us from the studio. Now all the marketing execs and head chefs were
there but let's be real you guys want to hear about the food, and we have plenty to say about it.

When the tasting area opened it was an all out assault from yours truly, we did not hold back! as a
start there were some salads availabe, The Chinatown Chicken Salad with baby arugula, napa cabbage,
radicchio, shittake mushrooms, daikon sprouts, and wasabi cashews in a soy peanut vinaigrette.
Then there was the Roast Root Beats and Carrots, baby spinach, quinoa, edamame, avocado,
gorgonzola, toasted walnuts, and a succulent honey dijon vingairette (Seans personal favorite).
Finally there was the Soko, roasted cauliflower, brussel sprouts, arugula, farro, avocado, proscutto
in a lemon vinaigrette. Salads were solid but in my haste I may have forgotten a picture so on to the main event.

Al Roker's avocado toast is a definitire win, it takes avocado toast a step further by
adding some tomato, arugula and the option of some sweet pickles. Buyer beware!
once you try some you are definitely going to want some more. For breakfast they also
had this incredible bagel topped with nutella, peanut butter, bananas, and strawberries.
Breakfast also featured some very nice looking acaii bowls.

There was also a surprisingly diverse cheese platter all of which will be available (fantastic for wine pairings)
some hearty potato salad, "The I <3 Vegan" sandwich (Roasted portobello, peppers, zucchini, carrots, vegan jalapeno
cheese, sun dried tomato pesto all on a cranberry artisan bread. Amazing for an all vegan sandwich and what really surprised
me was that the cheese really does melt, which if you know your vegan cheeses you know is a big deal.
The 30 Rock Midtown is the turkey panini counterpart and it was delicious.

For the finale, the desserts, and oh where do I even start with those. The best part about all of these desserts is
that every dish available makes a fantastic end to a hearty meal and all of them would be just as good on a quick
stop with a cup of coffee. Our favorites were the Cheesecake pops in blueberry and strawberry, exactly as sweet
and delicious as they look. The chef also used grandmas recipe for the tortini and I'll tell you that grandma definitely
knew a thing or two. Moist similar to a coffee cake with the berries adding an amazing dab of sweetness to the top
of it, glossy and delicious, a must have.
